However, I’d like to personally thank the state of Arizona. They recently passed a law allowing police to ask to see a birth certificate if they feel it warranted. Now, I personally do not know enough about this topic to make an informed decision, something I’m working on, but here is why I love the law, from the Washington Post:
Courtesy of Arizona, immigration moves higher on Obama’s agenda
Please let this become his top priority. While this is an issue that will have a lasting effect on the make-up of our society, I’d rather have him focusing on this topic then trying his best to sink the economy with bank regulations or Cap and Trade laws. While yes, our economy is the most resilient in the world, and has done more to help liberate people and increase the quality of life for multiple generations of people, it’s not bullet proof.
The laws that the President and Congress are trying to pass could easily bring the end of our powerful economy, if they already haven’t. It’s fought off two massive government spending “stimulus’” and a lot of other non sense, but we’re getting close to the tipping point.
Just today I began seeing some fans of the President touting how the economy is doing better than some expected. My first thought was it’s not because of anything he’s done, it’s in spite of all the wrench’s he’s thrown into the wheel.
So on behalf of the rest of us non-Arizonians, I’d like to say thank you Arizona, keep distracting the President so we can continue to prosper.
